Help for Heroes

This year the Hersham Beer Festival is proud to support Help For Heroes.

At the festival we’ll be raising money not only for 1st Hersham Scouts, but
also for Help For Heroes, a terrific charity that supports our wounded service
men and women. Please give generously at the Festival. Here’s some ways you can
help;

  • Show your support by buying a Help For Heroes wristband – available at the festival for a £2 donation
  • Donate money or beer tokens in the collection pots around the venue
  • Donate any spare beer tokens you have left over on your way out
  • Drink a pint of our festival specials, where a proportion of the profits will go to H4H

Get involved in the raffle – you’ll be supporting two good causes, and have a chance to win some great prizes

Help for Heroes (H4H) was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry after a profoundly moving visit to Selly Oak Hospital in the summer of 2007. Bryn and Emma met some
extraordinarily brave young people who had been badly wounded and they just
wanted to do something to help. Website: www.helpforheroes.org.uk.

Help for Heroes’ 5 Key Messages . .

It’s about ‘the blokes’: those men and women of our Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of our country since 9/11.

H4H provides direct, practical support for our wounded.
We fund projects and initiatives that make a real difference to the lives of our wounded heroes.

We do not seek to criticise or be political. We just want to help and we work closely with the Army, Navy and RAF to provide support where it is most needed.

‘Money in, money out’. We spend all that we get and all our admin costs are covered by selling H4H merchandise through Help for Heroes Trading.

It’s about doing your bit, no matter how big or small. Every fundraiser is special to us and can make a real difference, so please keep going!
